Gorge Ecology Outdoors (GEO)

Gorge Ecology Outdoors (GEO) is a leading organization dedicated to fostering environmental awareness and appreciation for the natural world through a variety of engaging and dynamic learning experiences. Since 1997, GEO has been offering innovative programs such as the SECRETS program for 5th-grade classrooms, after-school enrichment activities, the Outdoor Academy, Gorge Explorers, and outdoor-oriented opportunities tailored to various educational settings. GEO’s offerings are designed to ignite curiosity and provide hands-on experiences that instill a profound appreciation for the environment in students of all ages.

Merging with the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum

Under the leadership of Education Director Danny Cosgrove, GEO has integrated into the Education Department at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum. Our team of passionate educators and community volunteers is committed to providing personalized and high-quality programming that aligns with the unique goals of each group we serve. We emphasize environmental stewardship and equip students with lifelong skills and confidence while prioritizing accessibility and equity in our programs. By ensuring the safety and inclusivity of our activities, we aim to cater to the diverse needs and interests of participants from all backgrounds.
