Plan a Field Trip
Plan an unforgettable field trip to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum! Our engaging, educational experiences are available from 9 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. Be sure to allow at least two weeks for planning, and keep in mind that spring dates fill up quickly. Scroll down to complete the request form and submit it early to ensure your preferred date!
Group Rates
Group Size: Educational groups of 5 or more students qualify for group rates.
General Admission
- K-12 students: $5.00 each
- Pre-K: FREE
- Family chaperones: $5.00 each

School Employees*

* One family chaperone may be admitted for free to homeschool groups of 5-10 students. For 10+ students, two family chaperones may be admitted for free. Additional chaperones will be admitted at the regular family chaperone rate.
Chaperone Policies
We require one adult per five students for grades pre-K through 8 and one adult per 10 students for grades 9 through 12. Group leaders should inform chaperones of their roles and responsibilities.
Time
Please allow enough time to make the most of your visit. Self-guided tours of the museum exhibits take 1-2 hours. The scheduled educational programs take one hour, so it’s best to allow at least three hours total. For large groups with rotating stations, we recommend at least four hours. Be sure to account for the time needed to eat lunch.
Lunch
While the Basalt Rock Café is closed, we still welcome groups to eat lunch on-site. You’re welcome to bring your own lunch, or we can cater lunches for an additional fee. We will reserve a space for your group to store belongings and eat, or you can enjoy the sun and eat at the outdoor picnic tables.
Columbia River Trading Co.
The museum store has many educational books, games, and toys for young children and adults. Be sure to allow a little time to shop at Columbia River Trading Co.
Payment
We can process cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard onsite and via phone. We also accept purchase orders. You can pay upon your arrival at the front desk or request an invoice from the Program Director.
